Third iOS 5.1 developer seed

Beta 3 appeared on January 9, 2012. The structured delta is limited to a documented backup-exclusion API and a separately reported return of the 3G control.[1][2][3]

Why the route sequence stops here

Apple still directed 5.1 developers to beta tooling on February 16. March reporting described partner testing of an internal Gold Master, while a post-release walkthrough says Apple did not provide developers a final test build before the March 7 Public release. Those facts do not establish a developer GM route.[4][5][6][7]

No inferred 5.1.1 beta

Apple's consumer archive separately lists 5.1 and 5.1.1, but it does not identify a prerelease seed. Because no exact 5.1.1 beta identity was recovered, this batch creates none.[8]
