Release identity and boundary

A weekend release on January 26 was explicitly called the fifth beta. This page selects only a reported build-manifest clue and does not upgrade the milestone to a Golden Master label.[1][2]

Selected milestone record

The manifest contained a 128 GB capacity reference, but its source expressly warned that this did not establish a product. Coverage two days later moves directly from Beta 5 to the Public release, so no separate GM route is inferred.[3][4]

undocumentedreported

Researchers found a 128 GB capacity entry in the seed's partition-padding manifest without evidence that such hardware would ship.
