iPadOS 16.2 introduced Freeform, Apple Music Sing, and Advanced Data Protection for iCloud. On supported iPads, Stage Manager gained external-display output up to 6K and could place four apps on the iPad display plus four on the external display.[1]

The update also added Game Center SharePlay, improved Home accessory communication, revised AirDrop’s Everyone duration, and fixed several collaboration and synchronization issues. Feature availability remained dependent on compatible hardware and region.[2]
