tvOS 10.1 was released on December 12, 2016 with the new TV app, Watch Now and Up Next, curated recommendations, Library and Store destinations, cross-device viewing continuity, US single sign-on for participating pay-TV providers, and a broad security update.[1][2]
Apple announced the TV app and single sign-on as December software updates for fourth-generation Apple TV customers in the United States and qualified both by participating apps, services, regions, and languages. Siri live tune-in was marked available on October 27, so it is not attributed to the later 10.1 release.[3][4]
