Release overview

tvOS 10.0 was released on September 13, 2016. Apple's launch-season package described expanded Siri and HomeKit control, new developer media and home APIs, app badges and controller support, redesigned Music, Photos Memories, a dark appearance, automatic universal-app downloads, nearby iOS keyboard entry, and a new security baseline.[1][2]

Evidence boundary

Apple's June source is a preview of the fall tvOS package and says features were subject to change. YouTube search was separately timed for June, the Apple TV Remote was a separate iOS app, Siri live tune-in was explicitly dated to October 27, and single sign-on was later dated to December; none is assigned to tvOS 10.0 here.[3][4]
