tvOS 17.0 became publicly available on September 18, 2023. FaceTime arrived on supported Apple TV 4K models through Continuity Camera, while Control Center, Siri Remote discovery, Apple Music Sing, Memories screen savers, Siri, and dialogue enhancement broadened the living-room experience.[1][2]
The tvOS 17 SDK added developer-facing capabilities including StoreKit 2 merchandising views and subscription-status APIs, along with scrolling, selection, and sector marks in Swift Charts. Webex and Zoom television apps were announced for later in 2023 and are therefore outside this 17.0 launch record.[3][4]
